Our skilled decorator lined the walls with thick lining paper to conceal the woodchip avoiding replastering costs. A local joiner removed the existing cupboard and fitted wall to wall wardrobes separated by bookcases with concealed storage space behind. The three panelled doors, plinth and cornice are traditional Georgian style. The same joiner also created matching panels for either side of the windows replacing what would have originally been there, and restrung the sash windows so that they could be opened more easily. The homeowners treasured bedspread gave us as a colour scheme of sage green and ivory with accents of royal blue. The other furniture in the room is a mixture of antique and newer pieces, and an antique chandelier added the finishing touch to what is now a beautiful and functional bedroom.

This bedroom is in a beautiful Georgian farm cottage but the decor was looking very tired with old woodchip wallpaper on the walls. The homeowners were desperate for storage and wanted a solution that was in keeping with the age of their property. The original sash windows also needed some restoration.
